Pavilion Model
For this project I designed, drew, then modeled a pavilion. The main purpose of this structure is to provide shade, particularly heat protection during the middle of the day, and shielding from harsh light during dawn and dusk. The model is scaled at 1’ : 1/4” and, at full scale, would take up roughly 400 square feet.
Sketch Model
Building quick sketch models in as little as five minutes plays a big role in materializing ideas so you can judge them in the real world. In this instance, I originally planned to have additional shade panels, but after creating them in the sketch model, decided that they didn’t match the language of the rest of the structure, so I left them out in my final iteration.
